As a working farm, we plan some activity around the daily tasks of the farm
Fireside Farm has been set aside for people to get away from a particularly difficult time or circumstance in their life, and live and work with the two families that call this place home. Both families believe that God has called them to provide this temporary home-away-from-home for people that need Him, love from friends, good food, caring company and fresh perspective.
Both families have a friendship with God and introducing Him to (not forcing Him onto) our guests is a hallmark of our service to people.
Primarily Fireside Farm will provide a family atmosphere where guests can feel welcome and be loved on. A place to just breathe.
Fireside Farm will provide a daily routine of tasks, fun and free time in the context of an operational farm.
Fireside Farm will provide people, spaces and events for our guests to experience and know God and themselves better.
Located at the beautiful farm country land in Te Arai, New Zealand, Fireside Farm provides a family atmosphere where guests can feel welcome and be loved on.
We believe in working together. We believe in partnership founded on give-and-receive relationship.
At Fireside Farm we believe in working together. We believe in partnership founded on give-and-receive relationship. The old worldly values of things like love, honour, kindness, hope, sincerity, etc. foster friendship and are antidotes for much of the hurt people have experienced. So, we partner with people that serve alongside us, visit us, need us and help us.
We accommodate daily prayer & worship, breakfast, meals together in the meeting house, retreats, kiddie camps, individual & couple counselling and visits to local attractions.
As much as we want to help everyone, we can't. Also, we have a primary duty of care to our own families, in terms of safety and security. So, we have purposefully kept our accommodation to a few cabins only, and for 1-3 month stays only. We thoroughly screen all applicants (and it will always be a blend of objective and subjective, gut-feel screening), and then reserve the right to allow or decline accommodation for anyone.
